Hey I'm new to the is forum and wanted to share what i felt was wrong on the latest cycle of slipknots journey. Previously slipknot have never disappointed me with there work.its fresh its varied and you can really get the feel that the whole band put there blood sweat and piss into making them. unlike with AHIG you get the sense that the music is being to manufactured and to sloppy. OK there is the exception of three great tunes namely AHIG,Dead memories and Physcosocial. but the rest just sounds like there not trying anymore. I'm not saying this is the end of slipknot and i really hope its not i just hope this album is a slip up which all great bands have i mean there only human.

Of course there is the fact of age. those crazy fuckers have been headbanging for nearly ten years its going to get to the point were there heads are just gonna swing of

SlipKnoT have sold out. They arent the same in your face, fuck the world band they used to be. Now they are older and realize that the world has been operating under a certain system of rules for a very, very long time, and that they can do nothing to change it, so they have esentially givin up I think. They still love their music of course, but they dont have that same agressivness and fire they had in the days of Iowa.

That too though. Its much more musical and some songs are muuuuuch more technical than their old stuff. Im starting to appreciate it slightly more every time I listen to it.
