Hes right you know... I cant really recall the last time I witnessed, or was engaged in an intelligent conversation on this forum. I mean I know there have been good intelligible conversations in the past when there were far more people in the midst... Than you had a tad bit more variety. Even than though, it was mostly people arguing and bickering with one another.
In hindsight, your both right and your both wrong in some ways. But than again everyone is. It was really inevitable with a band like SlipKnoT that their sound would change.... They didnt have a choice in that regard. Not unless they wanted to stop with Iowa anyways. Frankly if they HADNT changed it up at least a LITTLE bit I wouldnt have bought AHIG, or volume 3 for that matter. They naturally changed and adapted, and survived. Thrived even, and they are still thriving and I respect that.
I guess it started ending, for me at least, when I heard paul grey accept their first grammy... Idk, after all the shit I heard them talking about the industry and MTV and all that happy horse shit... He comes out and says that getting a grammy ranks up there with their top TOP achievements. Were they ever nominated for Left Behind? Wait And Bleed? Or even any of the other songs on volume 3, the heavier ones like The Nameless? Nah, they wrote a song that EVERYONE could jam to, and thats the one MTV picked because they are biased.
Idk at this point im ranting, all I know is that I will still support them for years to come, unless they come out with some kind of country album... Than they can suck a knob.
