Okay this is something that is starting to annoy me. To all those who call themselves true maggots and get their panties in a bunch and threaten people with that ever-so-effective Internet violence every time someone sheds a light of truth on the fact that slipknot sucks... Get over it, grow up, or kill yourself. I'm still a fan but that's still the truth. They suck and they sold out. So do yourselves a favor and obsess over a new band. P.S. Indeed. I consider myself a maggot still I suppose... I can still go back and listen to their old shit. Even AHIG has a couple good songs on it, but yeah dude the truth is they sold out. Big time. They can claim they havent all they want, citing that its their band, and they always said they would do whatever they wanted with their band... But let me tell you something SlipKnoT, this goes to every one of you. Unless you create your own record label, and do EVERYTHING yourself, you will always be taking orders from someone else in one way or another, and thats the bottom line. |

if your referring to their attitude towards the industry or humanity in general being less misanthropic than i dont see where you could find an example of that in their music or whatever
if they came on every record and just said fuck the world all the time it would get a little repetitive and boring
dont get it twisted though im all for saying fuck the world i just think they've found a more artistic way of saying it over the years and im not saying fuck the world isnt artistic or anything
i dont think the message of slipknot's music has been distorted at all either i just think they've matured as people so intern they're music is going to sound different

That's what I've been saying. And the message of their music has changed because they grew up. It's not the same band. I'm not bitchint about it cuz I didn't expect it to last the rest of their lives but still... The old slipknot is dead. |

the "old slipknot" isnt going to come back no matter how hard you bitch and complain
and why do you care if they "sold out" even if you think the music is still good? just because millions of other people like the same band as you doesn't mean they "sold out" music is a business wether you like it or not
